WinVirus picked up that Outlook.pst was infected. I accidentally deleted
file instead of leaving in quarantine or trying btom fix by other means.
Then I got messgage Unable to open default email folders.
C:/......./Microsoft/Outlook/Outlook.pst could not be found.
I reintstalled Office 2003, but while looking at right selection I clicked
on the selection that said words like "restore original settings" in Outlook
instead of just find and replace damaged or missing files.
I have lost all emails going back about a year, some with vital info for
business in them. No backups or archives made.
Can I recover all these old email folders and emails? Any advice or
assistance greatly appreciated.
Can email direct (E-Mail Removed)

Hi Silver,
have you deleted your pst file?
If not please search on your computer for the *.pst file. Be sure that you
search also the hidden folders.
After you have found your pst please read this article
http://home.arcor.de/andreas.roeder-...%20Help.htm#18
And one thing,
please ever make a backup from your pst file or archive your important
mails. so you will never went in trouble!

Will that work for other .pst files that might have been lost also? In a
recent hotsync with my handheld, all of my calendar date, address data, and
task list was missing after the hotsync.
