Steve,
On the port settings page for the Comcast mail acct also check the box for
encryption for just the outgoing server port? Try that. I have seen Port 587
chosen for Comcast SMTP server. I have also seen Port 465 used, and I am
using this with my Comcast Mail accounts in both Outlook2003 and Outlook
Express. If you can't get Port 587 to work try Port 465 for the outgoing
server port setting, and check the box for encryption.

Task 'Mail - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook (2003) is
unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to
receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP).'
