Check your "default" settings. Click 'start'; 'default programs' and choose
the email program you want as your default from the list on the left. This
will allow emails to be sent. I hate Vista.

I did that and still nothing. mine is telling me my smtp server is not
responding. Does anyone know what that means? Do I need to call my internet
provider?

Texttoparty is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will block
your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own.
For an explanation of this policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/P..._Blocking.aspx

To send from home, you will have to substitute your home ISP's
SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know who your
home ISP is.

If you would like some custom help, right-click on your error message,
copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

i have the same problem- just recently happened. this is my message.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Re: Happy Halloween', Account: 'pop.east.cox.net',
Server: 'smtp.east.cox.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F

the long period of inactivity is not it....
