I cannot send or reply to emails for some reason. I am able to recieve and
read them normally. When i hit send, it attepts to "process requested tasks",
but then returns with an error message 15 seconds later:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test message', Account:
'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Help please? Thanks in advance.
Daniel

Check out the following:

Comcast no longer uses port 25, they now use port 587.
Tools>accounts>your account>properties>advanced tab.

See the link for all the account settings:

Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into
a reply here.

Is your Yahoo account a free one or a paid one?
US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only,
no POP access. Windows Mail handles POP mail but not
webmail.
