The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(E-Mail Removed)'. Subject 'First
Intoduction', Account: 'mail.bax66mail.com', Server: 'mail.bax66mail.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 relaying denied', Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

Does your ISP require you to change the defaults for port numbers?
Does the outgoing server require authentication? There are many variables.
Best to check with your ISP for the correct configuration.

"Relaying denied" means you were trying to use that SMTP server
while connected to a different network. As a general rule, the SMTP
server owner must be the same as the one providing your Internet
connection. If you need a workaround, tell us who your ISP is.

My ISP said that it had to be in Windows Mail do to me being able to receive
but not send. Sent many to myself trying to get the cofiguration right but
could not. No, my server does not require authentication.

Mail.com is not an ISP. They are only a mail provider.
How do you get on the Internet?

I am totally frustrated. I loved Outlook Exp. and I have no success with
Windows Mail. Like this other individual, I can receive all my email, but I
cannot send any email which renders the situation useless. None of these
answers provides anything that helps to resolve this issue.

thru the motions. this morning it gave me this message.

How are you connecting to the Internet, the error indicates that you are not
connected to their server,
Are you at home when this happens?
