My aunt uses a dial-up connection(Windows XP) with Ntelos to get
online and then connects to AOL 9.0VR for free by piggybacking the
Ntelos DUN. I cannot get the AOL software to automatically start the
Ntelos DUN like IE does, but AOL will detect and use the Ntelos DUN if
it is already up and running. I'm not at my aunt's computer(she's a 4
hour drive away) and wonder if RASDIAL could be used in a batch file
to connect to the Ntelos DUN, then start up AOL, which has been
configured to sign on automatically with her screenname and password,
and finally disconnect the Ntelos DUN with the /Disconnect command
when AOL has been shut down. Any batch script ideas to accomplish the
above would be greatly appreciated.
