I want to know if I can publish Microsoft clipart on my webpage and post it
on the internet without any problems. If not, do I need to buy it from them
or get written permission?

Free legal advice is worth what you pay for it.

I don't think it is wise. I recently learned of a situation where a local
learning institution was making up a brochure for a fund raiser and used a
photo from the ones provided on the MSOffice disks. Shortly after the
brochure was sent out, they recieved a call from the lawyers of a national
corporation based here. Seems that the photo the learning institution pulled
from the MSOffice disk was from a print ad for the national corporation and
was copyrighted for their own use.

That's precisely why I provided a URL for the Open Clipart
organisation......

You can pick up CDs containing thousands upon thousands of clip art images
that you can legally use on your webpage fairly cheaply these days. Check in
your local computer shop.

It may well be worth recalling that "Rose" <(E-Mail Removed)>
