I was sent a PowerPoint presentation which, when you go thru the Slide Show,
each slide comes up one at a time - with individual sentences describing the
slide on the bottom of each slide (NOT NOTES PAGES). However, when I open
the PowerPoint presentation and view it in Normal View, only two slides are
shown and all the text on the bottom of each page is scrambled together -
Each slide is on top of the other. If I could just figure out how to print
from the Slide Show view, I'd be all set. Any other advice would be greatly
appreciated!
Thank you,
Maureen

No other way that I know about. You could do the horrible manual method
of viewing the show, hitting the print screen button, hitting Alt-TAB to
switch into something like Photoshop (or even Word), choosing Paste from
the Edit menu, and repeating until you are done. This will work but will
get very old after about 10 "slides," and you might decide that it is not
that important to print out.

Thanks, David. I was afraid that was the case.

Do you have access to SnagIT from TechSmith? You can set SnagIt up to take
repeated, timed snapshots and send them to a file without any user
intervention. Once you have it set up, you can then start your presentation,
kick off the capture and run the presentation as you wish. Voila - a folder
of graphics files you can then print using what ever mechanism you wish.
SnagIt information:

(includes a link to a trial download. Once you try it, you are very likely
to buy it)

You can do the same thing as printing the show as it's viewed by ....

Open the presentation in PowerPoint (the program, not the viewer). Click on
File...Print..
the print options page should display. If you want one slide per page click
to use Slides. Set up the slide numbers you want to print, choose Portrait
or Landscape and it should print one slide per page.

If you want to save paper and can accept mulitple slides on each page,
choose Handouts rather than slides. Choose the number of slides per page,
the slide numbers you want to print, choose Portrait or Landscape. They
sometimes look better if you check Frame Slides to put a frame around each
slide.

Darrell,

The original question was about printing animation builds not slides. The
whole presentation looks like it is multiple slides, but it is really two
slides with lots of animation, so printing in a normal way doesn't work.
