I use Outlook 2003 and I have searched Help and can't find what I'm looking
for. In other programs, .jpgs are previewed at the bottom...in Outlook, I
have to open Paint in order to view the picture, which is a real pain.

Upgrade to Outlook 2007 or consider using this addin;
