I hope you guys are not laughing at me, because I just don't know about this
issue. I sit in one room of the house and like to use my laptop (wireless
needs to be used via a PC card slot, not build in) in another room. Can I
plug in a wireless setup into my Netgear ProSafe Firewall router? Which unit
should I buy, if you care to advise me. I like the Netgear product, we use
it at work, and have little trouble with it. I use Win XP Home w/SP2 on the
desktop, and XP Pro on the Laptop w/o SP2. Many thanks in
advance.........Peter

No, you'll need to purchase a wireless router.

You should be looking for a wireless access point, since you already have a
router.

I fo not believe that Netgear has one.

You know the wireless access point will cost you as much as a wireless
router and not give you the same flexibility? You would be better off
replacing the existing router with a wireless model.

Good luck, jimbo

True! But it may be easier to add the access point than adding a
wireless/wired router, especially if the OP had done a custom configuration
in the router (port forwarding etc..)
