Hello I have been haveing this problem for a while now. I
can Ping out to the web to sites such as yahoo.com but i
cant connect to any site or anything for that matter. i
can also ping other computers on my network witch have to
problem connecting to anything except MY XP Machine. I'm
useing a cable modem running into a USR Wireless Router I
have connectivity but it seam that when i go to connect to
the internet it doesnt send anything. When I open IE it
just says Website found. Waiting for reply... and the
status bar slowly loads and stop about 1 3rd of the way.
My IP adressing and everything are configured corectly it
all worked befor it just stop connecting. I've tryed
reinstalling all my drivers and network stuff. for the
Wireless Card.. I'm thinking its somthing im overlooking.
any help on this would be great thanks.. The other
computer on the network are connecting fine its just that
one machine all the computers are running windows XP Pro.
And once again I can ping out to sites but cant load them
in Internet Explorer. my dhcp server registers a adress
with the computer but i cant onnect to any computers on
the network. but the router seems to ack. it. Thanks.

Check IE to make sure that it is not configured to use a Proxy server if you
don't have a Proxy or that it IS configured to use a Proxy if you do have
one.
