My workgroup is trying to incorporate a new acronym, HSA, into our Excel
worksheets. Every time we try, it is automatically changed to HAS. We have
added it to Custom Dictionary in Word, and it passes Word and Outlook
spellchecks just fine. The only workaround I have is to type H.S.A.

Hi

Have a look at Auto Correct (Tools>AutoCorrect) You'll need to remove the
correction for "hsa" which, as you've discovered, will be replaced with
"has"

Either remove the correction from tools>autocorrect (type in hsa in the
replace box and press enter then click delete)
or do as I do, after you have type HSA, press space, then immediately ctrl +
z, then enter out of the cell or continue typing other stuff

Or in TOOLS>AUTOCORRECT creade the HSA acronym in all caps. Autocorrect is
case sensitive.

Thanks, I had never explored autocorrect before. That answers a few oddities
I've experienced.

You could also create an AutoCorrect entry that would change lower cas
'hsa' to upper case "HSA" automatically!

Good Luc
