How can I open an HTTP: folder and browse its contents?

I am trying to write a super simple tool to backup the documents on my
department's Sharepoint Site because, frankly, I can't rely on a
timely response if someone accidentally deletes a file from my area.

I notice that, in Windows XP at least, "My Network Places" allows me
to open a browsable folder to my document library. I am lead to
believe, then, that I should be able to programmatically (sp) open
this folder. The System.IO namespace doesn't "feel" like the right
place and, in fact, does not seem to work with URLS, though I now have
the code written to backup a UNC folder (small victory).

Thanks.
