Recently, I am only able to view the photos on my hard drive in My
Pictures as JPEG thumbnails. They do not appear as actual photos(only
the sailboat sunset icon), and will not open using Microsoft Picture &
Fax Viewer. In order to actually see what the JPEG picture is, I have
to use a separate photo software program(ie Roxio PhotoSuite or another
program) and then I am able to view the picture. I have tried
everything in the View toolbox, but have not been successful. I do not
want to re install my entire operating system and hope that someone
might have had a similar problem with an easy solution...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

The issue is due a change in the file association. Reverting the same will
resolve the issue and you need not reinstall the OS:

I have tried to change the file association, but it has not worked.
Even when I choose the "Always use the selected program to open this
kind of file" and select Microsoft Pictures & Fax viewer, I am still
unable to view the JPEG images...

Other suggestions? Thanks
