Hello,
I have three computers on a home network. 2 XP home and one Win98,
linksys cable dsl router. All connect to the internet. All share the
same workgroup, all XP computers have a single user, no password,
and the Win98 does not have a login.
One of the XP (#1) computers is not visible to the other two. The
second XP(#2) can share with the Win98 both directions but not to the
XP(#2) shared documents folder, however. When I start XP (#1) in safe
mode with networking it can transact with the other two computers
XP(#2) and Win98. Another curious thing was that at one point XP(#2)
could see and transact with sub folders of the XP(#1) shared documents
(eg: Shared Pictures) but could transact with the shared documents
folder.
XP(#1) has an ATI all in wonder with a 1394 connection. This shows in
the network connections so I have a Local Area Connection, 1394
Connection and a Network Bridge. I don't know if a XP firewall is
going as I can't find the place to check.
Any suggestions to make XP(#1) available?
