Hi,
My outlook 2007 started an interesting thing a week ago. Running Vista SP1
and office, all updates.

I am connected to Exchange 2007 in offline mode. I don't see anyone else in
the office with this problem.

I can manage all email folders fine. I can read the calendar and taks but i
can't update/create anything in them. It tries and thinks, then clears the
entry I tried to make and says outlook can't connect to exchange. FWIW, Web
based access works just fine as does my blackberry (BES connected)!

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling outlook. Tried renaming the OST and
created a new one, no go.

I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but we moved to a new
facility and have a Cisco VoIP system now. I installed their click to dial
TAPI software and around that time this problem occured, but I can't say for
sure it caused it. I had unistalled it prior to uninstalling outlook. I
think i tried flipping to online mode and create a new profile, but i get the
error about can't find exchange. Nothing has changed on the server. It
happens when I am in the office (new vlan'ing) and it happens at home
connected via HTTP!

TIA!

Have you talked to your Exchange folks about this issue? What happens if you create a new mail profile and configure that while on-line? Can you ping the Exchange server by name?

Hi Milly,

I am the exchange team

I've heard of no ther issues since we moved and now have some new VLAN'ing.
The only thing that is different WRT exchange now is that our NIC's that are
teamed are now plugged in to seperate switches. Again, I am the only one
with the issue. Pinging the server works, as I said email comes in and
deletes. OWA works fine for my account on exchange.

See http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/formscache.htm

Go to Tools, Options, Other tab, Advanced Options.
Then Custom Forms, Manage Forms, Clear Cache.
Close all open windows, and then restart Outlook.

If that doesn't work, delete the Forms Cache File:

Quit Outlook.
Paste this line in the address bar of windows explorer:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms
Delete all the files and folders under Forms.
re-open Outlook.

Hi Diane,

Problem was resolved by rebooting the exchange server. I couldn'tt set up a
new profileon any PC in the network. Yet my laptop was the only one with
outlook issues. Thanks for the tips though. On to solve the real problem
now :/
