I've seen that on

one can download the newest BIOS Vers. 1017 for P4P800 Deluxe MBs.
The file name is P4P81017.zip.

Is this Vers. usable for MBs P4P800-P Deluxe too or is this BIOS for P4P800
Deluxe MBs only?

Generally, BIOS are not interchangeable. There is always some small
difference in the chips used on each board, so if you use the wrong
BIOS, something may stop working on the board. Also, the size of the
BIOS can differ - some boards use 256KB, others use 512KB, and the
size mismatch will prevent a good flash.

If you can be patient, I see a new BIOS on the Asus Germany ftp
site:

ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUScom/BIO...E/1003e_01.zip

Give this file a few days before it is posted in the Beta section of
the download page for your board. It appears this file contains updated
microcode, which should make WinXP SP2 work better.

Prescott entry has changed from the bad updateid value of 0x7 to

So the name for my (the BIOS for the P4P800-E Deluxe) BIOS should be
P4P800-E.ROM or *.AMI?

Well that saves me asking a question, is there a 1003 BIOS coming out. I was
reading an earlier post and it was mentioned and wanted a bit more
clarification. The "man" has spoken and I am happy.
