Last I checked, Win 98SE was still gold. That being said, have no idea what
Firefox has to do with this. As for system infection(s) it has to do with
the user not the operating system.

Dual boot, I did that back in the day while beta testing XP within W98SE -
well actually it was Connectix Virtual PC and with the help of Bing:

From my findings, XP has and does stand alone compared to the rest. Good
