I logged in Monday and after typing my password, the computer reboots. I have
since logged in as local administrator and made new accounts, following the
MS procedures for copying information from the damaged account to the new
ones. I have been able to determine that the damaged account will work if it
has a default ntuser.dat file. The new accounts, conversely, crash if I put
the corrupted ntuser.dat file in them.

Since I have several programs that will take me days to reinstall (high end
engineering programs, especially if they don't work on the first try) and all
the configuring to get my account setup the way it was, is there anyway to
repair the ntuser.dat file?
