I completed my first update to my previously built website and when I was
done I could no longer view the site from that computer via my comcast
connection.
Every other person I know could view it from any other computer, and I was
even able to get into it via a different dial up connection.
Any thoughts?

What happens when you point your browser at your IP address instead of your
domain name?

Hi,
You just need to be patient. Every ISP updates their DNS records on
different timescales. In fact I have an account with Tiscali in the UK just
because they update they update DNS quicker than anyone I've known so it's
great for checking new domains. Realistically you need to leave 7 days
before a new site is truely active.

get a Server not found message.

The site is not new, it was merely an update. The site was built for me by
some web designers and has been functioning here and everywhere else since
September. Until recently these designers had also been posting updates. This
occured only after finally buying microsoft front page and making our first
update ourselves.
As I said, everyone I know can see the site but myself via my comcast
connection.
If I ping the site it appears to get block at my router (if I am
interpreting this correctly) even before it gets out into web land.

well, someone talked me through doing the ping and it stopped at the second
point, and the guy helping me said it was probably my router.
I know that probably doesn't help much but it is what I know at the moment.
