I have a box with XP pro, IIS and front page

I eddited my web when I try to publish to the local (same box) messeage

"The folder c:\inetpub\wwwroot\" is contaiend by a server-based Web to
accsess this web you must use the http:// url for the web server "

I press OK

and enter http://localhost/ or http://IPADRESor several ither tries

I get a logon window asking for a user name & password

I'm the administrator, the box is local IIS & FP on the same Box , what am i
missing?

Hi,

What you get is ... normal. The "box" is a sort of "scizzo" thisng in that
the IIS "thinks" that all HTTP requests come from the REAL Internet, hence,
you need to log in...

Master Dev.

OK, but how do I log in? It does not take my administrator user name or
password, or Where do I set users & password for the Web?

Thanks.
