When I tried to install VS 6 at my new MS Vista Home Premium computer, I got
comaparability issue. I copy whole CD into my hard disk and run set up proram
with 'Run as Administrator'. I can not installed program. How can I install
VS 6.0?
Please let me know ASAP.
Thanks

You should go to VS 2005 on Vista. You can install VS 2005 Express that's
VB, C# and C++ .Net and it's free.

Bernard

There are some issues with this installation. Here are some links with more
information.

Ronnie, let me ask a general question for you and anyone
with a good day-to-day working knowledge of Microsoft
OS operations...

[MildRantMode ON]

Is Vista more problematical for Microsoft than Windows XP
was?

In particular, are there more installation issues now
than there were for XP? Why does Dell still offer
XP Pro as an option on new desktops, and how long is that
policy expected to continue?

Are there more compatibility issues, places where
an app isn't updated and stops working after migration
to Vista?

Seems to me, working from memory, that the issue of
compatibility was most severe going from Windows 3.1 to
Windows 95 (i.e., from 16 to 32 bits), and from
any previous version to Windows NT and that most
stuff that had worked on NT or 2000 also worked on XP. Am
I seeing history through rose colored glasses?

[no more rants]
