can not get in chat room...

I have been unable to get into my favorite chat room. I
had been able to do so until very recently when I added
some new updates from microsoft. I also accidently hit
the default button when I was in security but attempted
to put everything back the way itwas. I have a firewall
up from microsoft for xp as well as enabling
cookies...what else can i do...
