I have this problem on few of the XP SP2 boxes. I am running an application
with "System" Account where I get this error "Access Denied, contact your
system administrator". Where as this application runs fine on all rest of the
XP SP2 systems with "System" account. I tried running cmd.exe using "at"
command to execute a sample vb script to echo "Hello" under local "System"
account. Here too I get the error "windows cannot access the specified
device, path or file. you many not have appropriate permissions to access the
item" Points to note are - User has admin rights on the system and if I run
the same application and script with "user's rights" then everything is
fine. It means only when if I use "System" account to execute something it
thrwos "Access Denied" sort of things. Kindly advice.
