Hi

In NT 4.0 all I had to do was install netbeui and I could net use
without authentication. e.g if the 3.11 box was called jp1 and I
shared c:\ I could just go

net use \\jp1\c

from the NT box and the command completed successfully.

I have installed netbeui on XP (SP1 - no firewalls etc) and can not see
the \\jp1\c path.

I am using a X-over cable (no routers, switches or hubs involved)

Any sugestions appreciated.

Fixed.

Don't install the protocol using Have Disk.

Follow the instuctions in NetBeui.txt on the XP CD.

Then it works.
