I am using an XP Dell Laptop, a generic card, a Netgear WGT624 rouuter
and a Netgear 8-port reg router with about 5 hard connections. I've
daisy chained the new wireless router to come after the 8-port router.
Within two hour mind-splitting frustration, the card worked once. The
computer sees the signal ALL the time. It's one healthy puppy.

I've tried ipconfig and ping from dos too - works. IE6.02 seems to be
the culprit. But so does outlook express. Both worked at thae same
time once? What's going on I wonder? Routers? - I will continue to
mess with them.

Chris

You have too many routers connected to your network. Which one is controlling
the Internet? You need to replace one (8 port regular wired router) with an 8
port network switch. This should eliminate the router conflicts.

Or, you need to check to see of you can completely turn off a WAN portion of
one of the routers.

My wired 8-port router is an FVS318 Netgear. Can this be configured as
a switch?
