I have two archieve folders in my outlook folders list that I can not close.
When I try I get a message that "The operation failed. An object could not be
found". Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The usual cause is a corrupt mail profile which you'll have to recreate.

With this tool I was always able to fix a corrupt PST without having to
recreate the profile:
