My computer has XP Pro OEM. My company has assigned me a
laptop that was used by another person. I have renamed
the account with my name, but it has not changed anywhere
within Windows (my documents folder name, identity within
Office programs, etc.). I have gone into the Computer
Management control panel, and under "Local Users and
Groups" I get a red x and a message "Unable to access the
computer [computer name]. The error was: A disk error
occurred during a read operation." How do I repair this
one function of windows? Do I have to reinstall Windows
XP Pro? Thanks in advance!
