I can not activate XP

I posted earlier on this newsgroup about activating XP.
For some reason, everytime the activation link pops up on
my computer and I click it nothing happens. As I
understand an activation screen is suppose to show so I
can activate, but nothing happens. I have tried the
regsrv32.exe thing that some one suggested and it still
didn't work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
