Several months ago I had to install a new cd writer
because mine went out. I have a HP computer and had the
program HP Record Now to use to send anything to a CD.
Since I have the new install of a TDK machine &
installing Nero, I can not do things like before as
sending documents to wait to write them and when using My
Photo Center, I can't send a slide show to a cd to be
burned, it keeps coming up with something to do with
Record Now. I am operating on XP but I believe I am using
Windows 98. Does anyone have any thoughts of what could
be my problem. I am not computer knowledgable enough to
figure this out.

Contact HP this isn't a Windows issue.

As Epona points out, this is not a Record Now group.

Nonetheless, have you tried removing and reinstalling Record Now, though
Nero should have an identical feature and should work.

***"I am operating on XP but I believe I am using
Windows 98."*** What does this mean?

>In your programs listing look under "hp tools",you

should find a listing "hp application recovery" hp record
now should be listed there if so try uninstalling it, and
the reinstall it from this recovery setup (the install
setup is locked away in the partition hp uses)once it's
reinstalled it should recognize your new cd writer.
Good Luck
