I send programs I have written for customers via attachments. This no longer
works. If I zip the executable they can place it into a compressed folder,
but they cannot extract the executable file. I use Outlook as my email
program. What am I to do now? How do I send my customers their orders? Do I
have to start mailing diskettes?

Do some investigation:

Is it them or you? Send via a webmail interface. Send from another machine.
Send to yourself

Use a different email client (e.g. Thunderbird) and see if you have the same
problem.
