Can No Longer Access Certain Site

I am running IE6 on a W98 machine. For years I have been able to connect to
a particular site. For some strange reason I can no longer connect. I can
ping the site and it works. I can connect from another computer connected
to the same router. I have turned off Zone Alarm to make sure it was not
blocking. Nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

IC

If you have update #KB912945 installed, uninstall it. It stops ActiveX
controls.

Go to the post from jfromco "Neither IE6 nor IE7 will display ..." and read
the reply from Frank Saunders. I will reinstall the update and try his fix.

Wally,

That update applies to XP, not W98 which is what I have.

Search your computer for a hidden file called HOSTS. Rename it to HOSTS.OLD
and test.
