I think the better method (because you know there will be more functions that
you need in access) is:
"How to call Excel functions from within Access 2000"

You want to instantiate a full copy of Excel, just to use one of its
functions? Instead of running a few lines of code within the existing
instance of Access?

The Excel method would be about 20 squintillion times slower & more
resource intensive. Can't see why you'd say it was better!
