Title come up new_page_1 or if another page is copied as the base for a new
page, it brings the old title with it.
It is quite bothersome to have to go to each page and edit its title.
Is there a way to make it match the name of the file?

No matter what method you choose to create the page, you will have to assign a title to the page.
File names should never have spaces, etc. and if hosted on Unix/Linux should always be lowercase.

Not automatically...

If your opening a file .. then wanting to copy it .. the usual method is to
do File | Save As at that point click the button marked Change Title and
change or enter the title.

If you want to change titles without going into the html right click on a
page and press page properties you can change it there.

Or you can go to Folder View and click on them there and rename them....If I
have to do this for a bunch I do find this the quickest method.
