The ISSUES sample database takes 25 seconds to open. Is there a way to have
it open faster? I have other databases with thousands of records that open
in 3 seconds.

On a Windows XP Pro system, using Office XP Pro, the Access 2003 version of
the Issues template database opens for me in less than a second. The
database itself simply opens one of its forms; no VBA code or AutoExec macro
is executed on startup.
