I have a database that I have created for some staff. Some of the staff need
only to see a few items on the switchboard while others need to see all of
it. How can I limit access to certain switchboard items. Can I also create
users and passwords to the database?

Kathy,
If you implement User Level Security, you can limit access to every object
in your database. The instructions for implementing User Level Security are
in the Security FAQ. There is a link to that document on the Security page
of my website. If you choose to do this you will need to read that document
several times and follow it to the letter. If you miss a step you might
either leave your database less secure than you think it is or, else, lock
yourself out of the database. Be sure to make a "practice" copy of the
database and try it out a few times before you begin on your actual
database. The Security FAQ is long and wordy. I have summarized the
information contained in it on this site:

I hope this helps.
