Can I keep the Task list open in Mail view of Outlook 2003?

I can open Taskpad in the Calendar view, but not in the Mail view. Is there
any way to have Tasks always open? I have an extra-large monitor so I've got
the real estate.

Right-click either the Tasks or Calendar folder and choose "Open in New
Window". Tile them as you wish. Then, in the main Outlook window, click
File>Exit. Outlook will remember you had two windows open and where they were
positioned and will open them both again when you restart it.
