Just ran into a strange problem that perhaps has no solution, BUT her
goes:
I have an Excel Document that I inserted (embedded) and external Wor
Doc. into a cell. It displays as an icon and when the user clicks o
it, it opens a separate window with that Word File in it. No issue
there at all. Perfect.
The problem is that even after I protect the sheet, the user can stil
move the icon and even delete it if he or see so chooses. NOT GOOD!!!
If I lock it,..and protect the sheet, then the icon is no longe
accessible to activate...NOT GOOD
If I choose to not display it as an icon in the cell,...then the windo
opens from within the Excel sheet..NOT GOOD
How can I leave the icon in the cell, also keep it functional, but no
allow it to be moved???
I thought perhaps of moving the icon off to the right of th
spreadsheet and perhaps trying to make the cell such that when clicked
it knows to activate the hidden icon,...but perhaps this is not a
intelligent approach. I wouldn't know how to do that anyway....not a
Excel expert here.
