First off - what makes you think the new license is more legitimate than the
last?
Secondly - OEM versions can ONLY perform CLEAN installations (format,
install - everything you had before and did not backup is gone and all
applications have to be reinstalled from their installation media with their
product keys as well.)
Last - have you tried to change the product key without doing a clean
install?
