I have both installed for months and I have never even sniffed any spyware
with either program ???? Am I that secure ?????

To answer your subject line question, yes, the released version of OneCare, 1.1,
and Defender are installed side by side. I can't speak for how secure you are
other than I'd say you are protected by both programs. Nothing is foolproof,
however.
