How can I indicate in the inbox that I have replied to an email?

It used to do that, but as
soon as I upgraded, it stoped. I have Office 2007

When you do an upgrade to Outlook 2007, it's recommended that you create a
new profile or you may experience some problems or inconsistencies. Did you
do that?
