My company is moving from salesforce to Outlook BCM. I have the exported
data from Salesforce (csv files), can I import this information into BCM? If
so, how?

The best suggestion is to attempt to export data from BCM and then match the
fields for import of your Salesforce data. I recommend BCM 2007 by the way.

That would give you an dea of what fields are available.

It may be easier to import into Outlook first, and then import into BCM.

If you have a sample of santized data, I can look at what it takes.

You can import Accounts (companies and organizations) and Business
Contacts (people) into BCM from CSV files.

In Outlook/BCM use menu File|Import and Export|BCM 4 Ol
then
Import a file
then
Comma Seperated Values
then select the csv file
then
check the file, select Contacts or Accounts, and Map to map the columns
in your csv file to BCM fields
then continue and import the file.

I think I've got that down, what I haven't been able to do is create the
fields in BCM so when import the csv file, the fields are there for mapping.
How do I do that?

Thank you for the response. Let me know where I can send the clean file for
your review. What I really need to know is how I create fields in BCM so
when I go to import a file, they are available to be mapped.
