When I create a hyperlink to a PDF File in a MS Access 97 table and click
onto the hyperling, the PDF File opens briefly then disappears, how can I
create this hyperling properly.

Hi,
This might actually have to do with your pdf viewer itself.
Have you tried to install the latest Acrobat Viewer or any patches/updates?
HTH
Good luck

Hi,
it should be fine if it is functioning correctly (I think the latest version
is 7.0.8 for WinXP).
Try the shell() or followhyperlink() methods from within Access just to see
if you experience the same or a different behavior. If the same then maybe
try to reinstall the acrobat viewer.
HTH
Good luck

Thank you very much freakazeud, I used the shell() method and found it to be
excellent, I have already identified other uses for this method and cannot
wait to use it again.

Is it possible to physically store an attachment within the database instead
of calling it up via a hyperlink? Thanks

Thank you mpdsal via AccessMonster for your suggestion, I think the method
you suggest would be excellent, I have looked in Access help to identify how
to do this, however I cannot find a reference to this, I would be grateful if
you could please forward instructions on how this is done.

Again, Many Thanks
