I'm planning a NetWare to Win2K/AD migration and was
wondering if it's possible to set up a directory structure
in Win2K such that when a drive is mapped to a share, only
the subfolders below the share that a user has rights to
will be visible.
Example:
Groups----HR
|---Leagl
|---Tax
|---Audit
Desired behavior: When a user in the Legal dept maps to
the Groups share, they will only see the Legal subfolder,
and not see HR, Tax and Audit.
I want something similar to NetWare file and directory
inherited rights behavior. I know this could not be done
with NT 4 ntfs permissions - in that case a user would SEE
everything although they could ACCESS only what they had
rights to. Can it be done with Win 2K? How?

Windows and Netware differ here. If you MUST hide the folders you should
keep Netware. Windows doesn't work this way.
