In Outlook 2003 I want to automatically send email messages at preset times
of the day. Can this be done.

do you want to send a predefined message or just have outlook connect and
send all waiting messages at a specific time?

for the first: http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2004/20041230.htm

for the second: neither outlook nor windows supports it directly, but there
is (or was) at least one program that can do it - I don't know if it's
still available or recall the name.

You could also use task scheduler to open and close outlook at preset times
and if it's configured to check mail regularly, it will do a send and
receive.

Diane,
Would you mind telling me just how to set up a task scheduler to open and
close outlook at preset times?
I truly am new at all of this.
Thanks a million.

Add a new scheduled task and follow the wizard. Exiting is more difficult -
you need an exit utility or script to close it, unless you configured it to
only run outlook xx minutes than close it. It's better to close outlook
yourself though- the utilities don't allow it to close cleanly.
