Hi,
I would appreciate any input. )

My computer has XP and IE7. I am applying for a project that requires IE6.
Is it possible for me to download IE6 and have it on my computer for this
particular project or does having both screw everything up?

Thank you so much in advance!!

Hi Wombats,

You already have IE6 in the c:\Windows\IE7 folder, but it does not work that
well when IE7 is co-installed.

There are few cosmetic differences between IE7 and IE6 SP2, the rendering
engine mshtml.dll is the same version, you can alter the UserAgent string of
IE7 to emulate IE6 to your web pages.

It is usual to install MS Virtual Machine to run two separate operating
systems on the same machine.

Regards.

A useful method, but it does not work in some cases, e.g. if a site uses
Internet Explorer conditional comments. Virtual PC is therefore a
better solution in many respects.
