When I am inserting a page number in the footer using the automatic text
"Page X of Y", it automatically makes "X" bold, even when bold has not been
selected. If I go back and try to re-format the font after inserting the
automatic text, it doesn't work either. During this whole process the "B for
bold" in the toolbar was never selected or "on". So why is it bold when it
was never told to be bold and how can I unbold it when it says it already is
"unbolded"?

If you select "Page X of Y" in the footer and then press Ctrl+SpaceBar (to
clear any direct font formatting), does that make a difference?
