They appear the exact same size here. It could be a slight variation in tag
precendence. For example: in the first example, the <u> element that
declares underlined text comes within the anchor <a> while in the second one
it comes outside the anchor and within.
One thing, get rid of the & in the filename shfairies&angels.htm. Never use
& because it is used for another purpose in URL's. Pretty much only stick
with alphanumeric characters (a-z A-Z or 0-9) and underscores. Avoid spaces,
apostrophes, etc...
