How can I get Outlook to automatically assign a number to tasks?

As the title states; How can I get Outlook to automatically assign a number
to tasks?

I'd like to be able to use the task funtion as an electronic work order and
would like to Outlook to assign a sequential number to each task.

Not possible without some custom VBA.
