I bought a system that had Windows XP Professional
loaded on it but I don't have the installation disks or
an install key. Can I download and install SP2 on my
system ?

>You may have it loaded on a partition on the hard

drive. You may not,you can get the updates.Would check
into making a copy of that disc for safe keeping.Like buy
a cheap hard drive WD is cheap and their lifeguard copier
is about as easy as they come, put it in as a slave drive
and do a drive to drive copy of it,then take it out and
put it up for safe keeping, that way if you lose anything
and it wont boot you'll have a backup to fall back
on.Good incase a HD crash also. Then all you'll need to do
is change the jumper settings to cable select(or master)
and plug it in and your back in the game. This is also
great for backing up your system before a change(like
loading SP2)also if you just leave it in an extra bay
unpluged, all you'll have to do is plug it in and do a D2D
copy then unplug and your all backed up.And you wont have
to worry about burning any disc or losing data.
